Fish Oil Facts
Fish oil is a common dietary supplement consumed by individuals worldwide. Fish oil is one of the best dietary sources of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). EPA and DHA have been shown to promote overall health and reduce the risk of certain diseases. Some types of fish oil supplements also contain omega-7 fatty acids.
Unfortunately, the poor quality of some commercially available fish oil supplements can outweigh the important health benefits of fish oil intake.
